Project Description

This project aims at understanding stakeholders’ views on the efficacy of treatment and rehabilitation services in Hong Kong. It aims to consolidate consensus among stakeholders in developing an evaluation framework for evidence-based drug treatment and rehabilitation practice, as well as formulate practical evaluation guidelines, including validation of measurement tools to help conceptualising, planning and commissioning evaluation of treatment services.

Project Description

This project aims at providing preventive education and build up young people’s awareness of drug harms among primary and secondary school students. Day-camps will be arranged for primary school students to teach them about drug harms. Secondary students of the applicant school will be recruited to lead the programmes so as to develop their leadership skills and deepen their perception of risk associated with drug abuse.

Ethnic minority and high risk youths will co-organise a musical show to disseminate anti-drug messages to the public.

This project aims at providing screening and early intervention for secondary schools students and students of Youth College under Vocational Training Council. Physical fitness and psychological assessments will be provided to general students. After the screening, students at-risk to deviant behaviours will receive in-depth assessment, face-to-face counselling and a number of activities such as support groups, hobbies development activities, medical consultation or therapeutic counselling services. Health talks to young people and professional training cum sharing meetings with social workers and teachers will also be organised.
