Project Description

Project Description

This project aims at engaging young film makers in anti-drug training workshops and mobilising them to produce high quality films that can raise the public’s awareness about drug harms. Young film makers will be recruited to participate in a micro-film contest and an anti-drug workshop. The best movie scripts selected by a panel of professional adjudicators will be provided sponsorship for film production. The final series of anti-drug films produced will be shown in a local cinema and broadcast online.

This project aims at adopting a “stepped-care model” for early identification and intervention for high-risk youth and drug abusers with mental health issues using “virtual reality” and activity based exercises. Project elements include early detection and prevention, low intensity intervention and drug risk containment, high intensity therapy and professional development. Assessments on integrated mental health and risk for drug use for students/youths/young adult outside school network will be conducted. High-risk youths, potential drug abusers with mental health and emotional issues and family members will receive different level of intervention service.
